Brian Patten is the current director of Emmet County EMS, and lives in Boyne City with his wife, Charity, and their two daughters, Emma (17) and Erin (14). 

Brian first came to camp in 1992 as a cabin counselor and returned for six summers, serving in many roles, including assistant director.  Work took him to Oklahoma for a few years, but in 2003 Brian returned to Camp as the year-round maintenance director, leaving in 2008 to stay home with his daughter.  Brian and his family spent the next several years living at camp during the summer as Charity worked as one of the assistant summer camp directors. 

Brian and Charity returned for two summers, 2021 and 2022, as co-directors to get summer camp running after the COVID closure.  Camp has played an important part in Brian's and his family's lives, and he is looking forward to being involved in helping camp continue its mission into a second century.
