Closed Campus and Visitor Access Policy
Purpose
To ensure the safety, security, privacy, and quality of the camp experience for participants, guests, staff, and volunteers, Camp Daggett operates as a closed campus. Access to camp property is restricted to authorized individuals and approved groups conducting camp business or participating in scheduled programs.
Policy
Authorized Access
The following individuals are permitted on camp property:
Registered campers, program participants, and guests.
Employees, volunteers, and approved contractors.
Parents, guardians, and family members attending designated events or appointments.
Vendors, service providers, and delivery personnel conducting authorized business.
Individuals or groups with prior approval from camp administration.
Unauthorized Visitors
The camp is not open to the general public. Individuals who are not participating in a scheduled program, event, or approved business activity are not permitted on camp property.
Unauthorized activities include, but are not limited to:
Recreational use of camp facilities, trails, waterfronts, or program areas.
Sightseeing, hiking, fishing, or other personal activities.
Solicitation, sales, or promotional activities without prior authorization.
Attendance at camp activities without registration or approval.
Access During Programs
For the safety of participants and the integrity of camp programming:
Visitor access is restricted during camp sessions, school programs, retreats, and special events.
Parents and guardians must schedule visits in advance whenever possible.
Staff may deny access to individuals whose presence may disrupt programming or compromise safety.
Enforcement
Camp staff are authorized to:
Verify the identity and purpose of any individual on camp property.
Request unauthorized individuals to leave the premises.
Contact law enforcement when necessary to address trespassing or safety concerns.
Exceptions
Exceptions to this policy may be granted by the Executive Director, Camp Director, or their designee for special events, community partnerships, tours, meetings, or other approved purposes.
