For 17 years, the Walloon Lake community has rallied behind Kayak for a Cause, a heartfelt tradition benefiting the Camp Daggett Adventure Education Center (CDAC). Trustees, staff, and volunteers are deeply grateful to the families, friends, and lake residents who have helped sustain this effort year after year.

This summer, Camp Daggett’s year-round staff will once again take to the water on Monday, August 11, paddling from the Camp shoreline in celebration of this ongoing legacy. The Camp spirit team will circle the lake by boat, sharing gratitude and recognizing the incredible generosity of our neighbors.

The tradition continues with the sale of Kayak for a Cause flags, proudly displayed by Walloon Lake waterfront owners as a visible show of support. These colorful flags have become a symbol of unity around the lake and a shared commitment to Camp Daggett’s mission. All proceeds benefit the Adventure Center and help provide scholarship opportunities for youth in our local communities.
