Meet Megan
Megan comes to Camp Daggett with experience in Girl Scouting and co-ed resident camping. She began her camp career at Camp Cavell Conservancy in Lexington, Michigan, where she received her camp name, Athena, and first embraced her journey into ecological stewardship and the responsibility of passing this knowledge on to the next generation of campers. Megan later continued her work with Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan’s Camp Merrie Woode, where she focused on delivering intentional and varied programming centered on building character, outdoor competencies, and leadership skills. She also volunteers her time with the American Camp Association as a commitment to ongoing professional development of both herself and the Michigan camp community.
Megan is a dedicated camp professional whose career reflects her commitment to service, community, and personal growth. She brings a strong background in program development, staff training, and safety-focused leadership. At the heart of her work is a genuine belief in the transformative power of camp. Megan is excited to bring her passion, experience, and enthusiasm to the Camp Daggett community and looks forward to helping create meaningful moments for all campers and their families. Megan considers it a privilege to help people step into new experiences, overcome challenges, and discover new strengths within themselves.
Originally from Wyandotte, Michigan, Megan is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Political Science and Sociology. In her free time, she enjoys practicing new hobbies, reading, crafting, kayaking, and hiking. She also adores spending time with her two cats, AJ and Sylvie.
