Camp Daggett COVID Response Plan

This COVID Response plan is designed to address regulations as stipulated in the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affair’s (LARA) “Guidelines for Camp Operations During COVID-19,” last revised 4.14.21. As conditions change, so too can regulations, guidelines, and orders and this plan will be updated to reflect any changes.

The following link is to the last update of the Camp Daggett COVID Response Plan that was enacted for the Summer 2021 season:

COVID RESPONSE PLAN – UPDATED MAY 11, 2021

As we start our preparations for Summer 2022, we will be looking to the Health Department and LARA licensing guidelines to develop our new plan.  We will continue to update based on the latest information right up until the start of camp in June 2022.  Our goal is to provide campers a traditional Camp Daggett summer experience while keeping everyone safe and healthy.  We feel that our plan for Summer 2021 succeeded in that goal, and if COVID is still a concern in June 2022 it will provide the basis for our 2022 plan.

At this time, camp is not looking to require campers be vaccinated in order to attend camp.  It is too far away from the start of our 2022 camp season to state if our mask policy will be changed from last summer, or if a negative COVID test will be required to attend camp sessions.

We will work hard to keep everyone informed of updates to our COVID policies and plans, and we ask that you understand that camp must abide by many agencies rules in order to maintain our license.
